I help organisations to develop and grow through innovation and grant funding.
At a project level, I help organisations to design and test their innovation concepts and secure grant funding to finance their development. At an organisational level, I help organisations to establish an innovation culture and framework that drives repeatable innovation success.
Over the last two decades I have worked with a variety of organisations, including emerging and deep tech ventures, established SMEs and large enterprises, research centres, universities, and charities.
A key strength lies in the diversity of my experience, with a project portfolio spanning very different technology and market sectors.
My skills and experience focus in two key areas:
1) Innovation Consultancy – helping organisations to:
• establish a culture and framework for repeatable innovation success,
• understand and map their existing innovation capabilities and opportunities,
• discover and explore new innovation ideas,
• develop their ideas into robust innovation and business concepts,
• manage a portfolio of innovation activities.
My methodologies focus strongly on innovation frameworks and tools, delivered through structured workshops, sprints, and workflows, building upon established innovation best-practice.
2) Grant Funding – helping organisations to:
• identify grant funding opportunities,
• develop their grant funding strategy,
• develop project ideas, partnerships, and planning,
• prepare and submit high-quality proposals,
• contract with grant funding providers,
• fulfil their grant funding contractual, administrative, and reporting requirements.
Here I work either in the capacity of a contractor, providing an expert pair of hands, or a consultant, coaching and supporting clients to do the work themselves.
Previously I have also created and delivered grant funding training, e-learning, and coaching/mentoring support for pan-European universities and RTOs.
To date I have helped clients to secure £60M+ in grant funding from various UK National and European funding programmes.
